Patient Engagement

Patient Participation Group

The patient participation group is a group of volunteer patients who have a keen interest in helping to support and develop the services provided by our practice. The main purpose of the group is to help the practice find ways to innovate and improve the quality of services that we provide to our local community – it’s about coming up with ideas and making suggestions.

Patient Feedback

We are always eager to have feedback from our patients and their carers. This helps us to celebrate what we do well and helps identify where we could do better.

Our latest Friends and Family Test results showed that 85% of our patients rate our services as either good or very good.

Some of the website is difficult to navigate

We’ve completely refreshed our website to make it easier to find what you need.

I want to give feedback but don’t like to use a computer / smartphone

We’ve added a friends and family feedback box and pre-printed feedback cards to our reception desk and reminded all colleagues that feedback can be taken in person and over the phone as well

It’s hard to get through to the reception team on the phone

We’ve put a lot of work into our phone systems in recent months; including creating new options to leave voice messages for common tasks such as requesting sick notes and ordering repeat prescriptions. We’ve also changed how calls are allocated to different phones to reduce the number of times calls fail after an option has been selected.

Telephone appointments just don’t work for me….

We’ve increased the number of face to face appointments that are available.
