It can sometimes feel that General Practice faces many challenges. However, we feel that with a positive approach, good organisation and a willingness to be open to new ideas it is possible to create a successful and fun workplace.

Investing in staff to reach their potential

We work with all our staff to identify opportunities for learning and development and to help them fulfil their potential.

  • We INNOVATE. Parkside Medical Practice was the birthplace of SignpostingHealth, a reception signposting training program now delivered to all practices in Nottingham City and Leeds.
  • We LISTEN. We are a pioneer in using feedback and were an early adopter of SMS feedback, which we share and address at our regular staff meetings.
  • We COLLABORATE. Staff at the the practice worked with the local RCGP Faculty to run innovative speed dating Style recruitment events. We support our local GP Federation, where one of our GP Partners is a Director.

We work from purpose built premises at the heart of Bulwell. We are located near the town centre and bus, tram and train stations. We share our premises with Bulwell Library and a host of community health and social services.

We are not actively looking to strengthen our clinical or administrative team at the moment.
